Baked Garlic Fries

Baked Garlic Fries
From thinly cut, thickly cut, crinkly cut to curly kinds, fries do take up many form but are basically potatoes cut in desired shapes and deep fried to crisp. Now do they have to be deep fried to be crispy? I guess not, they can be baked and be as tasty if not better than fried ones. I topped these fries with garlic and Parmesan cheese and I couldn’t stop myself or my kids from snacking them. Some recipes are better without long introduction as the dish by itself is so attractive that lengthy introduction doesn’t do any justice to the post and fries being one among them magnetizes everyone with its taste and fame. So without further delay here is the recipe for garlic parmesan baked fries.

Ingredients

Potatoes — 4 (cut in 1/4 inch strips)

Olive oil — 1/4 cup

Italian Herb Seasoning — 1 Tbsp

Grated Parmesan Cheese — 1/2 cup

Seasoned Salt — 1/4 tsp (optional)

Garlic — 3 cloves minced

Dried Thyme — 1/2 tsp (optional)

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 425F. In a bowl mix olive oil, salt, Italian herb seasoning, garlic, and thyme if using. In a larger bowl toss fries and half of the olive oil mixture. Spread it evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake it for 30 minutes, flipping the fries half way through the baking process.

2. Remove the fries from oven in to a bowl and toss the remaining olive oil mixture and 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Return to oven and bake until parmesan melts about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup parmesan cheese and salt. Optionally top with basil or parsley for added flavor. Enjoy!!!
