These burgers are healthy, gluten free and so delicious! They’re simple to make and are the moistest burgers I’ve ever had. The trick you must do, steam them!
Turkey Burgers:
- 99% fat free turkey meat
- 1 large avocado
- ¼ of gluten free breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- low fat mozzarella
- tablespoon of fresh chopped garlic
- teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt (grinder from TJ’s)
- teaspoon of garlic salt (grinder from TJ’s)
- teaspoon of black pepper (grinder from TJ’s)
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. You will want to use your hands when blending so the avocado blends well into the meat. Then form them into patties, which will be 4 (medium to large).
Turn a large pan to high and make sure the pan is sprayed with olive oil. The pan will need to be very hot so you can panfry the outsides of the patties. Once each side is crispy, you will then want to turn the pan down to low and let steam cook for 25 – 30 minutes.
Lastly, add a pinch of low fat mozzarella on top of each and steam for another 3 – 4 minutes.
Side Dishes:
Roasted Butternut Squash + Broccoli:
- 1 bag of fresh butternut squash
- 1 stalk of broccoli
- balsamic vinegar
- garlic salt
- salt
Directions:
On a baking sheet pan, that’s lined with tinfoil, toss all the above ingredients together. Then, roast at 350 degrees for 35 – 40 minutes.
Cauliflower and Carrot Mash Potatoes:
- 1 bag of frozen cauliflower
- 1 bag of frozen chopped carrots
- 1 cup of organic chicken broth
Directions:
Turn the pan to high and throw all of the veggies in. Cook on high for about 10 minutes, while continuously stirring. After 10 minutes, turn to low for 20 minutes and let steam.
Once completed with the above steps, add in cup of chicken broth then blend with a hand blender. Lastly, add in the fresh ground garlic, salt and garlic salt.
Enjoy!
