And do you like Yellow Bean Paste? Some people find the aroma of it quite strong, but I adore the pungent salty flavor of yellow bean paste that go so well with meat, chicken or seafood. In a wok, when the meat I just sliced are sizzling and dancing against hot iron, as soon as I add a dollop of yellow bean paste, everything mellow and mingle in joy. In 5 minutes or so, the perfect chicken with rich flavor is spread over hot rice. Sounds perfect right? How about adding some fried eggs with Sriracha sauce on top as well!
Stir Fried Chicken with Yellow Bean Paste
Ingredients:
200 gm chicken- sliced
½ small onion-sliced
2 cloves garlic- minced
½ green bell pepper- sliced
1 tbsp yellow bean paste
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp ground white pepper
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
Heat oil in the pan over the medium-high heat and sauté garlic until aromatic. Add bell peppers and stir for 30 seconds or so.
Add chicken and cook for a minute or so or until the outside turn white.
Add yellow bean paste, light soy sauce and sugar. Stir for a few minutes. You may add a couple spoons of water if it gets to dry and to create a little gravy.
When the chicken is cooked thoroughly, add ground white pepper and turn off the heat.
Serve the stir fried chicken on hot rice and top it with fried egg and Sriracha sauce.
