Acai Smoothie Bowl

Acai Smoothie Bowl

I know it’s winter and you might think I’m crazy for still having smoothies for breakfast but I love to mix up my breakfast menu so that I don’t get bored. Smoothie bowls are such a great way to incorporate your favourite flavours but still be able to get the satisfaction of sitting down and eating your breakfast. I’ve created a delicious and creamy Acai Smoothie Bowl using a frozen banana to add a luscious creamy texture and have topped it with some of my favourite ingredients: almond butter, goji berries, buckwheat, mango and coconut flakes.

If you’re not familiar with Acai it is a wonderful superfood that is jam-packed with antioxidants. All of the other ingredients that I have used are rich in protein, vitamins and will help to fight and build your immune system during this winter season. This immunity bowl will help and set you up for a beautiful day!

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 1 tablespoon of acai powder
  • 1 frozen banana
  • a handful of frozen berries of your choice
  • a handful of frozen mango
  • 1/2 cup of coconut water or almond milk
  • + your toppings

LET’S CREATE

1. simply blend all ingredients together and top with your favourite flavours. I used almond butter, goji berries, buckwheat, mango and coconut flakes.
