One Minute Chocolate Chip Cookie

One Minute Chocolate Chip Cookie
As much as I enjoy a good old recipe to make from scratch I also enjoy quick recipes. What can I say, I love instant gratification just like any one else. My son, who can eat cookie as a meal was so excited that I was able to make him one in one minute. I don’t buy cookies from the store anymore, I make a large batch of cookies from scratch and freeze leftovers, if any. However with busy schedules and my penchant for trying new and unique recipes I hardly get time to bake cookies for my little cookie monster and thankfully this recipe gave me the needed reprieve from my son’s constant nagging.

I’ve made this cookie recipe at least three times and my kids have ventured into the kitchen to make it themselves as I write. By the looks and aroma emanating from the kitchen I guess they can make cookies whenever they want without bothering me. The recipe is quite easy and quick to make, so if you crave for a chocolate chip cookie you can have it in a minute. Enjoy!!!

Add all-purpose flour and mix until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips morsels. Any kind of chocolate chips should work well in this recipe. Transfer the dough on a microwave-safe plate and pat them in the center into one round shape. Make sure the center is thicker than the edges. Microwave in high for 30 seconds. Press start again for 20 seconds and then for another 10 seconds. Each microwave differs and the results may vary. Until you get an idea about the timing, keep a close watch on the cookie. The center of the cookie should be cooked while edges might look still uncooked. Then the cookie is done. The edges of the cookie does get cooked after removing from the microwave. Let it firm for about a minute. These cookies do not have shelf life as they taste much better as soon as they are made. Since they take only a minute to make, the shelf life can be overlooked. Enjoy!!!
