Chicken And Tofu With Basil

Chicken And Tofu With Basil
I’m surprised my kid likes tofu. It’s funny because tofu and I didn’t really have a love at first sight kind of story. It took me a while to get used to it. I think the reason I like tofu is because of its nutrient more than its taste. Anyway, I’m blessed that he is happy when I give him something healthy.

Now try this. Stir fried chicken and tofu with basil. It’s so easy to make and so yummy with some hot rice. I just made this for lunch and my kid absolutely loved it.

Chicken and Tofu with Basil

Ingredients:

Chicken and tofu with basil 3

100 gm Chicken- sliced

250 gm tofu-sliced into small pieces and shallow-fried until golden brown

2 fresh red chilies- chopped

4 cloves garlic- chopped

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

½ tbsp sugar

1 tsp fish sauce

½ cup vegetable stock

Some fresh basil

1 tbsp oil

Chicken and tofu with basil 1

Direction:

Heat oil in the pan over medium-high heat and sauté garlic and red chilies until aromatic.

Add chicken and stir fry until the chicken is cooked. This should take about 2 minutes or so.

Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and fish sauce. Mix well.
