Lemon Grass And Pandan Leave Ice-Tea

Lemon grass and pandan leaves ice-tea is one pop cool drink in Thailand right now. The chill, aromatic, and slightly sweeten drink is perfect for bumping of the summer heat, and it is very good for health.

Lemon grass, is not only a fragrant herb but also rich in vitamin A, Phosphorus and Calcium. Lemon grass has been used as herbal medicine for indigestion and gastroenteritis for centuries. It is the natural choice for detoxification, reducing cholesterol and balancing blood circulation in the body.

Pandan leaves added the sweet, fresh green scent to the drink. This beautiful leaves also used to relieve headache, reduce fever and treat several skin problems.

The combination of flavours and fragrances in this drink is beautiful and refreshing. It’s healthy and very energizing.

Lemon Grass and Pandan Leaves Ice- Tea

Ingredients (5-6 servings)

2 stalk lemon grass- slightly bruised

5-6 pandan leaves

8 cup water

2 tbsp sugar or to taste- optional

Crushed Ice

Preparation

  1. Boil water in the large pot.
  2. When the water is furiously boiling, add lemon grass and pandan leaves. Cook further for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove from the heat and let it cool.
  4. Serve chill with some crushed ice.

The lemon grass and pandan leaves ice-tea was very fresh and aromatic. Pandan leaves scent dominated the drink with the beautiful lovely hint of lemon grass at the end of every sip. The two fresh ingredients yielded a beautiful crystal clear lovely orange. We love it very chill and quite sweet, but you can omit sugar if you like to.
