I cannot believe all the peaches this time of year. Every single grocery store has a huge display of them and they’re cheap! It makes me a little crazy every time I see a peach display because I want to buy all of them.
My dad bought me some farm-grown peaches from the boothill part of Missouri. I can’t remember exactly where. They were good! Perfectly ripe and juicy.
I didn’t want to do anything too crazy with them because they were so good. I kept it simple and made a peach crisp, which I’ve never made before. I love how easy it was to throw together. Just top sliced peaches with a crumbly mixture of butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. I love peaches and cinnamon together.
I wish I had vanilla ice cream to go on top. If you make this, you must buy (or make) some ice cream to go along with it.
Pictures taken on my deck. Eric and I have been sprucing the deck up! My mom even bought us some chairs and a fern. We started a little late in the year, though. Oh well – we can enjoy it in the fall. We need to fix our place up a bit, too. I just get so overwhelmed when it comes to decorating. I’d rather bake than decorate.
